Crêpes in the City

Enter Carmen.
Carmen: „Let’s go to the Lemon and take a crêpe!“

Although I heard it so often during the last days, it made me smile and chuckle again and again. But maybe it’s just me.

Anyway, what was it that I wanted to tell you? Ah well, the Spanish girls fell in love with a tiny café: the Lemon. It’s in the city centre, in William Street South (that’s near Grafton Street). On Thursday I went there with Carmen, Isa and Berta and although it was a bit dear for my Continental wallet, I have to admit that it was totally worth it: great coffee, great crêpes.

Yesterday I went into town to enjoy my new found spare time. On my way to the Luas stop I thought I could text Lena and ask her if she’d like to accompany me to the city centre.

She did. I picked her up near her home and we went to the Old Jameson Distillery together where we bought a way to expensive bottle of one of the nicest whiskeys in town (Christmas present). Although that was initially her only plan for the day, because there was an essay waiting for her at her desk, we ended up strolling the city for some hours. Shopping spree: HMV, Carolls and whatnot. In between tea time in Bewley’s in Grafton Street. All in all a great, but way to costly day.

After Lena had left to finish her essay, I had a delicious Irish Stew, which was served in a bowl made of bread, and took some photos of the seasonal decorated streets of Dublin that I’d like to share with you. But, as always, be warned: I can’t handle a camera half as good as the Doctor: Diesen Beitrag weiterlesen »

Heleen came over for six days. We had a great time – I’ll post some photos from our trips later on.
Wednesday, we shared a bottle of Ubuntu Cola:

Found in nude, a great place to eat near Grafton Street.

Ramblin‘ through Dublin

Mittwoch, 24. September 2008, 00:01 Uhr von Felix

The sun(!) was shining all the weekend and so I went to the city centre in order to meet Chris, Radka and Lenka. While I was waiting for the girls, I ran into Tom and the lads from Kapfenberg, who were also waiting for some young ladies that got held up en route (a shoe shop). Dublin is a village!
When the two Czech girls had finally arrived („Du bist sehr punktlich“), we went to Isaacs Hostel to pick up Chris. Together with him, we rambled through Dublin and enjoyed walking through the docklands. We drank some coffee, chilled in St. Stephen’s Green and strolled up Grafton Street and in between we were joined by Christian and Simone. To cut a long story short: a lazy day with nice people.
