Last Sunday the photography society went on a one night trip to Charleville Forest Castle near Tullamore. Although I do not own a DSLR and do not know too much about photography, I joined them together with some other non-photographer friends.
This turned out to be a very good decision: it was a lovely day, the first of the Irish summer (it did not even rain). We enjoyed the sunshine all day long and recharged some energy after all the stress of the exams and last Saturday. All in all a very nice last trip with my friends! I am going to upload some funny series in the coming days. Here are some photos of the castle.

Saturday, I had my last exam: Distributed & Mobile Computing. Just like Economics and Advanced Databases it went pretty well. I don’t really know what to expect in the two management subjects, but that did not matter anymore that day, because we had a barbecue at our place. Chris was the hero of the day: he had finished his exams the week before and when I returned in company of some friends to our home, we were delighted to see that he had already lighted the barbecue. Awesome!
We spent all the afternoon and evening lying in the grass, enjoyed some of the good stuff, talked about all the world and his brother and did not leave the green before the last rays of sunlight were gone. After dark, we went to the last Erasmus party in city centre. Of course, it was in Anthony’s flat and almost everyone was there. Great fun!
Unfortunately, our friend and housemate Isma could not join us – he had left already on Friday due to another exam in Spain. See you, amigo.

Friday, Natalia and Luisa invited us to go with them and some others to Thomas Read, a pub in Dame street, where a guy called Brian performed rock, pop, country and Irish folk songs for hours without a break. According to the girls, he’s there every Friday night. Although, the prices are quite dear it is a good place to be on a Friday night.

As mentioned earlier, I went to Alfeld in order to celebrate my little sister’s confirmation. It was really nice and I met relatives I unfortunately do not meet as often as I would like to.
Moreover, I spent a night in Hannover with my friends Oli and Marian (thanks for the invitation) and celebrated my brother’s last leaving exam at school. Of course, I took the opportunity to take some photos that might give you an impression what it looks like where I grew up: in a provincial, but nice-to-look-at backwater in the South of Lower Saxony.
I forgot to take pictures of the „Planetenhaus“, another great timbered house. I am going to post a follow-up. When? Well, „otro dia“.

Yesterday, there was a belated birthday party. Isa and Isa, Carmen and Julia, a friend of her from Valencia, Oscar and I went to in Berta’s flat in order to celebrate her birthday. Having a bit of pity with the only German in a room full of Spaniards, Oscar told me „Felix, you have to learn Spanish. You have one night!“
Anyway, it was great fun. Later on we went to The Mezz where we met Klaus, Stefan and Jeremy and danced to great rock songs (‚Killing in the Name‘ and the like) until they closed.
